Jack McDougal is a qualified and accomplished DBS registered music teacher, offering fun lessons for beginners to advanced in saxophone, clarinet, flute, piano and music theory.
Backed up by years of performance and tuition experience, Jack offers private lessons and regularly works with children at schools across South Wales via the Cardiff and Vale Music Service (CAVMS).
Lessons in the following instruments are at casual, expert, beginner, intermediate and advanced levels
- Music Theory
Excellent music tuition covers scales and arpeggios, sight-reading skills, study and technical exercises, development of technique on the instrument, new repertoire, music theory, reading and listening skills, with additional support in performance skills for those with their eyes set on the stage. Lessons are adapted for musicians working towards grade and examination requirements, and for those simply playing for personal enjoyment.
Currently studying for an MA in Jazz at the Royal Welsh College of Music, Jack holds a Joint Honours BA in Music and Mathematics from Cardiff University in 2014 and a Diploma in Classical Saxophone Performance from the London College of Music.
